Narrative
West Baton Rogue Parish facilitated this subsidy deal between Wal-Mart and the municipalities of Port Allen, Addis and Brusly. The parish secured $1 million in bond financing for on-site infrastructure improvements. The three communities pay off the debt through sales tax revenues. The new Supercenter replaced a smaller Wal-Mart discount store.
