Narrative
State and local officials did not respond to our requests for information, but we learned from a report published by Policy Matters Ohio (http://www.policymattersohio.org/walmartintro.htm) that Wal-Mart was entitled to receive a $2.2 million Job Creation Tax Credit for this eyeglass manufacturing and distribution center. The state also provided a $400,000 Ohio Investment in Training Program grant.
