Narrative
A state official disclosed that Wal-Mart received enterprise zone benefits including $3.5 million in property tax abatements. According to a Policy Matters Ohio report (http://www.policymattersohio.org/walmartintro.htm) , Wal-Mart also received Job Creation Tax Credits worth $2.6 million over ten years, $900,000 in infrastructure grants and a $200,000 training grant. The city provided more than $1.1 million in infrastructure improvements along with reductions in land costs, the value of which was not available.
